A master's journey begins with a master's guidance. Jamba was privileged to apprentice under Teacher Basang, who himself was a disciple of the renowned Tibetan public welfare art master, Tenzin Dargye. This esteemed lineage ensures that every stroke of Jamba's brush is rooted in authenticity and profound respect for the art form.

Since 2003, he has dedicated his life to mastering the Menri style of traditional Thangka painting—one of the most influential and classic schools, known for its serene depictions, vibrant colors, and intricate details.

Master Jamba's exceptional skill and dedication have been consistently recognized throughout his career, cementing his status as a leading artist of his generation. His accolades include:

• 2014: Won Third Prize in Thangka Painting at the 3rd Tibet Autonomous Region Vocational Skills Competition for Persons with Disabilities.

• 2018: Achieved First Place in the Thangka category at the Tibet Autonomous Region Vocational Skills Competition for Persons with Disabilities.

• 2018: His magnificent work, "Yamantaka (The Great Wrathful One)," was selected for exhibition at the prestigious "All That Is Auspicious" Fine Thangka Exhibition in Lhasa, organized by the Tibet Artists Association.

• 2019: Once again, his artistry was featured in the "All That Is Auspicious" exhibition, this time with his stunning piece, "Chakrasamvara (The Wheel of Bliss)."

• 2020: His inspiring story and craft were featured in a documentary on Lhasa Television's "Discover Lhasa" program.

• 2025: Awarded First Prize in the Art Professional Group at the Lhasa City Vocational Skills Competition for Persons with Disabilities.

He is currently a distinguished member of the Tibet Artists Association.
